OVERVIEW – Digital Image Processing and Image File Formats

Now that participants have started to customise the look of their laptop, the next two sessions will concentrate on participants creating original artwork for the internal look and feel and the external casing of their laptops. Download pdf version.

CONCLUSION – what this workshop will teach us to do

Participants will begin to learn the basics of vector drawing application, Inkscape, and Gnu Image Manipulation Programme (GIMP). They will start to create stencil images themselves for customising the computer, and possibly avatars for social networking sites.
Developing an online profile.

This needs to be supported with a discussion about privacy- participants can use pseudonyms if they like.
