Paula is a performance maker and director who co-authors live events across a variety of sites and forms. As a co-founder and director of Blind Ditch (www.blindditch.org) she combines digital media and performance to engage audience and participants in distinct and active ways. Her work often uses a mix of score/script, improvisation and structured interaction to focus on boundaries between the public-private, and issues surrounding the construction of identity and the politics of place. Between 2010-12 Paula collaborated with Helen Varley Jamieson on make-shift, a long runing series of networked performances addressing issues surrounding plastic marine pollution. Paula is currently the Creative Adviser for Adverse Camber www.adversecamber.org directing work with some of the UK’s leading storytellers, and a post-graduate student in Critical Human Geography at the University of Exeter. Between 2001-10 she was an Associate Lecturer in Theatre at Dartington College of Arts, Devon, and taught Digital Performance Practice at the University of Plymouth 2010-13.
