Bio
Kristian Jeff specialises in art, photography, graphic and web design, digital multimedia, video and film; occasionally writing songs, theatre pieces, and ‘love poetry’. He also has a wide range of experience in exhibition design, from galleries to museums.
After 6 years of being a freelance art practitioner, he received scholarship in London and accomplished his Master’s degree in Visual Culture at the University of Westminster in 2012, after completing his dissertation on ‘social media interventions in governance and subject formation’. He is now an alumnus of the Asia-Europe Foundation University (ASEFUAN), after attending a delegation to an Envrironmental Sustainability conference held at the University of Tartu, Estonia.
He obtained his BA Interdisciplinary Art Studies at the University of the Philippines, where he co-founded the U.P. Sirkulo ng mga Kabataang Artista (U.P. Circle of Young Artists) in 2002 and served as its Artistic Director to date.
Recent collaborations include: his calligraphy work in ‘Fishes of Light’ / ‘Peces de Luz’ (2013) by lauded Filipina writer Professor Marjorie Evasco and award-winning Cuban poet and dramatist Alex Fleites; his libretto for Ageless Passion (2011), a musicale with original music by Filipino Maestro Ryan Cayabyab; and his calligraphy, logo design and concept art for Earth.Ø (2012), a transmedia project in London conceptualised by Yen Ooi.
