How to play 3 Player Chess

Players need to be familiar with the rules of conventional chess. However you do not need to be a skilled chess player to learn this game.

White moves first. In the online game a coin is flipped in the
Current Player
window and displays a white king or a white pawn. This decides who should take the first move...Playing with a conventional board? just flip a coin.

Moves alternate between black and white as with conventional chess.

Before each move is made, a coin is flipped to decide whether a ruling piece or a pawn should take the move.

The assigned player takes their move.

If 5 consecutive moves are made without any pieces being captured, the chess board sprouts grass.

When this happens 4 times, the pawns are deemed to have created world peace and the game is over.
