Born and raised in Coventry, nr Birmingham, in a working class family.

Studied Foundation Art and Design at Coventry University and then BA Fine Art Contemporary practises and Digital practises at Dartington College of Arts.

Anthony Askew is an emerging visual artist with diverse interests and creative involvement, recent work includes various dance for camera projects that play with the mediated image (the medium of representation and digital processes) and the potential of the human body to mediate a virtual space (as represented in film space).

Askew has worked with a variety of artists from different disciplines and has contributed to a number of inter-disciplinary projects. Past projects have included film, installation, film installation, dance performance works, sculpture, portraiture in oil paint, and various mixed media illustrations and paintings.

Interests include:Philosophy, Phenomenology in Architecture, the Arts, and theory,Psychology, Sociology, Language, Education, Film, Cinematography,Dance, Choreography, Visual Arts, Installation works, Cooking, Food Science, Health, Breaking things, Fixing things, Putting things together in a politically incorrect juxtaposition in order to see why it is so "politically incorrect"
