I love that chilly blue evening light, the end-of-the-working-day feel of the traffic and pedestrians going by, and the recently-switched-on glow of the house-lights and street lights; which is another way of saying that this has got a nice sense of place and observation to it. I also like the fact that you can see a glimpse of another road to the far right of the frame, which gives a feeling of the town extending beyond this particular place, and also makes this particular place feel less tucked-away and more out-in-the-traffic. One thing which slightly irritated me was that the top point of the house-gable was right on the top edge of the frame – whereas in the still which introduces this piece you can see all of the chimney and a little breadth of sky. I take it you’ve gone for an extra sense of width, and I can understand why, but it’s a shame to lose that sense of space at the top of the picture.

Yes, a tremendous sense of place and observation. And something of a dreamscape, too.

    fine outset.
more framing(s) could have been tried
