Does anybody ever challenge you on this point, on rhizome
for instance - on the point on having a need for privacy?
In what way?
rhizome is
a discussion group and it seems to me that collaboration is one
of the overstated paradigms in net-art, it has almost become an
ideology; so I wondered if you get challenged by the "net police"
I could be if
I was not so determined to have things my own way. I have an agenda,
that's the wrong word, cause I don't have an agenda but I have things
I want to say. When the opportunity comes along it excites me but
I am not gonna do something because its expected of me - in the
same way that I don't want to learn html because 99 people on the
rhizome list tell me what net art is about. I am not gonna do that,
I am not gonna stop using flash, because they say its corporate
mainstream bullshit. Because flash works for me I don't know whether
that's arrogance or - righteous, but...I am very into learning from
people and giving back to people, but I am not going to take on
board what I should do .... - sounds arrogant, but anyway.
