In 2012 AND is developing a new touring project, which will consist of six new commissions from a combination of artists, critical engineers, architects, interactive designers, and hackers, these commissions will be targeted at collectives and individual artists.

The Xth Sense [1], has been awarded the first prize at the prestigious Margaret Guthman New Musical Instrument Competition [2] as "the world's most innovative new musical instrument." 

The MGNMIC is an annual event to find the world’s best new ideas in musicality, design, and engineering. It takes place at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, US. This critically acclaimed event seeks to provide a fertile platform for the advancement of the studies on New Musical Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME). 

The below article was accepted by one visual reader and I was asked to revise the text four times. After hearing the book will be published, they just email they decided to withdraw this article. Although it can not appear in the book, I still wanted to show it to the public. Hope you enjoy it.

when it comes up
i brace myself
take a deep breath
and call myself an artist.

as a way of being FOR art
FOR a tradition of willful (rather than submissive) practices - that I am not ready to give up on.
being the most artist that I can be
which is to be free and connected and alert and part of a conscious shaping force of the whole ecology of ideas, beings and things.
